    Responsibilities

    • • Provides frontline supervision of all HCAs;

    • • Monitors and assesses HCA workload, reassigning and modifying workload assignments as required;

    • • Collaborates with the Clinical Team Lead to ensure daily care needs are met;

    • • Investigates and resolves performance related concerns in accordance with CareCorp Seniors Services’ Performance Management Framework and under consultation of the Operations Manager and the CareCorp Seniors Services Human Resources Team;

    • • Completes performance appraisals in accordance with CareCorp Seniors Services’ Performance Management Framework and under consultation of the Operations Manager and the CareCorp Seniors Services Human Resources Team;

    • • Work frontline shifts as required and support with on call schedule.

    • • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • • Current registration with the BC Care Aide registry (required)

    • • 2-3 years of working experience is an asset

    • • Demonstrates ability to function as a strong team leader, motivator, coach/mentor and team member within a complex multidisciplinary setting;

    • • Utilizes strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills when making decisions, resolving issues/conflict;

    • • Demonstrates ability to plan, set priorities, organize work and meet deadlines;

    • • Demonstrates strong facilitation and team building skills and ability work both independently and collaboratively;

    • • Cultural education and experience are preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • • Follows established care plans.

    • • Provide personal care for our residents including, bathing, grooming, dressing, assists with meals and oral hygiene and performing other care duties as applicable.

    • • Responds to call bells/alarms.

    • • Observes and monitors residents progress, symptoms and behavioral changes and reports significant observations.

    • • Utilizes mechanical aides such as specialty beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers to transport residents.

    • • Aid with lifting and/or transferring of residents by following established lifting/safety techniques.

    • • Other duties as assigned by manager.

    Qualifications

    • • Current registration with the BC Care Registry is (required).

    • • Completion of Grade 10 and graduation from a recognized Resident Care Aide program.

    Qualifications

    • • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.

    Responsibilities

    • • Responsible for day-to-day for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of recreation programs that meet a diverse population of residents.

    • • Ensures that every resident is involved in identified recreational activities in order to meet the goals of the resident's recreational treatment plan. Leads, instructs, and motivates residents in individual and group leisure pursuits.

    • • Setup and organize equipment needed for specific program(s), and oversee residents involved by encouraging participation.

    • • Ability to follow safety policy and protocol in the community with residents and volunteers.

    • • Effective and professional communication skills with all facility departments.

    • • Record and discuss residents' participation levels in programs.

    • • Escort, transport, assist residents to and from programs.

    Qualifications

    • • Current Food Safe certification.

    • • Completion of recognized Recreation course. (preferred)

    • • Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Responsibilities

    • • carrying out the designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan and/or program as directed by an Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist or Physiotherapist such as strengthening, range of motion (ROM) ambulation training, self-care activities, life skills, work simulation, seating, positioning, auditory comprehension, reading, writing, and/or communication/oral therapy

    • • contributing to the overall evaluation of the resident identifying and reporting verbally and in writing observable social, emotional, cognitive, physical and functional factors which might impact the resident’s therapeutic program and progress; observes and reports cognitive and functional changes, concerns and/or changes to residents’ condition to designated clinician

    • • performing various tests and/or tasks as assigned, recording and reporting relevant data for interpretation by the therapist,

    • • providing input into the planning, implementation, modification and evaluation of the rehabilitative treatment plan and/or program

    • • demonstrating the techniques of activities to residents as directed by the therapist,

    • • such as the use of prescribed treatment/adaptive devices (e.g. splints, wheelchairs,

    • • walkers, modified eating utensils, work simulation tools, electronic and manual

    • • devices for augmentative communication) and other equipment as required

    • • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • • Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program course and/or or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    • • Minimum of two years’ experience supporting rehabilitation program preferred.

    • • Class 4 driver’s license.

    Responsibilities

    • • Develops, implements and evaluates occupational therapy programs and interventions for residents.

    • • Assesses residents' occupational and functional status, develops appropriate health care plan, provides required interventions and follow up, in accordance with established occupational and falls prevention therapy techniques and practices. Provides consultation and education regarding mobility, and occupational function productivity and leisure to residents.

    • • Develops pain management strategies for residents affected by chronic illnesses and provide them with education, support and solutions.

    • • Assesses residents' seating to help provide optimal comfort and pressure reduction and function.

    • • Assesses residents for adaptive devices to help improve or maintain independence.

    • • Attends resident care conferences and family meetings and presents information related to occupational therapy; recommends related interventions and participates in the development of the resident care plan.

    • • Provides input into the development, revision, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy practices, policies and procedures, audits and continuous quality improvement activities.

    • • Performs other related tasks as required.

    Qualifications

    • • Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy plus up to one year of recent related experience. Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC.

    • • Basic understanding of adult education principles, methods and tools.
